Walt Disney World has officially announced the name of its newest and tallest arrival, a female Masai giraffe calf born earlier this spring. The baby giraffe has been named Ivy, and guests will soon have the opportunity to see her roaming freely on the savanna. Ivy made her debut in April at an impressive weight of 120 pounds and stands nearly six feet tall. Her attentive mother, Willow, has been by her side since birth, helping the curious calf adapt to life in their enclosure. Animal care experts confirm that Ivy is thriving and will be ready for her grand public appearance on the Kilimanjaro Safaris very soon. This exciting addition to the animal kingdom continues to delight visitors and staff alike at Disney World.
