Refurbishment work is currently underway at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village resort, with significant portions of the main lobby now blocked off by construction curtains. Large black curtains cover much of the main lobby and surrounding walkways, with signs informing guests that the area is closed for refurbishment. The construction has also temporarily changed the resort’s check-in process, with the main entrance closed and guests being directed to use an alternate entrance instead. Check-in services have been relocated to the Palace Library, and additional signage helps guests navigate to other parts of the resort. Disney previously announced that the Kidani Village lobby and nearby areas would undergo refurbishment in phases through late 2026. Guests may encounter daytime construction noise and alternate walking routes while work continues, though no specific completion date has been announced.
