Disney’s Electrical Parade Moved to California Adventure in 2001

The Main Street Electrical Parade originally debuted at Disneyland Park in 1972 and ran for several years before relocating. From 2001 through 2010, the parade operated at Disney’s California Adventure under a new name to reflect its different location. Unlike the original venue which featured Main Street U.S.A., California Adventure lacks this iconic area and instead utilizes the Performance Corridor for parades. The naming convention changed from Main Street Electrical Parade to Disney’s Electrical Parade during this period to better represent the new setting. This transition marked a significant change in how the beloved parade was presented to guests at the resort. The event continued until 2010 when it ceased operations at California Adventure.
