Dollywood Park Enforces Unique Dress Code and Safety Rules for Guests

A recent visitor to Dollywood shared their positive experience while highlighting several unusual park regulations. The theme park prohibits guests from dressing as Dolly Parton or Santa Claus, similar to character restrictions at Disney parks. Additionally, jean cut-off shorts are banned in Splash Country water park and hotel pools due to unspecified reasons. The dress code explicitly forbids clothing that exposes excessive skin areas deemed inappropriate for a family environment. Safety rules include a strict no-diving policy in kiddie splash pads to prevent potential injuries from shallow water depths. Horseplay and threatening behavior are also prohibited throughout the property to maintain order among visitors. Electronic devices like smartphones and smartwatches cannot be brought onto rides due to emergency call activation risks during dynamic movements. Guests must report any wildlife sightings including black bears, squirrels, raccoons, or ducks to park employees rather than interacting with them directly. Outside food and beverages are not permitted except for one unopened water bottle per guest despite the park offering excellent dining options. These unique regulations distinguish Dollywood from other theme parks while prioritizing guest safety and family-friendly atmosphere.
