Holiday World theme park in Santa Claus, Indiana is set to introduce a new attraction called CANNONBALL! This innovative ride combines elements of a traditional roller coaster with water features, creating a unique experience for visitors. The attraction will feature a 90-foot climb followed by over 1,000 feet of track at speeds reaching 45 mph before riders splash down in the Boulder Canyon Community Pool. Themed around the Fourth of July celebration, the ride tells a story about competing in an annual cannonball competition where groups of eight riders can participate together. When it opens in 2027, CANNONBALL! will become the first and only water roller coaster operating in the Midwest region. The new attraction will also hold two records as both the fastest water roller coaster nationally and feature a tallest drop at 75 feet among its kind. Holiday World already boasts over 45 rides across its theme park and Slashin Safari water park sections, making this addition particularly exciting for families seeking diverse entertainment options.
