Construction crews have begun clearing a small patch of greenery near The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom, leaving guests curious about the upcoming changes. Rolling planters and temporary walls now surround an area that was previously filled with shrubs, located beside the popular Winnie the Pooh restaurant. The cleared land slopes toward the lagoon and is positioned near the edge of the sidewalk and a bridge leading toward Adventureland. This work does not currently affect nearby walkways or access to The Crystal Palace dining establishment. Disney has not officially announced what this project will become, though one possibility is that the area could be paved to provide additional space for guests waiting to check in for their dining reservations. The walkway outside the restaurant can become crowded during busy meal periods, especially when families gather near the entrance.
