Disney has officially started refilling the moat surrounding Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom, signaling a major milestone in the castle’s repainting project. Water was actively pumped back into the basin starting on June 1, with visible sections already appearing by mid-morning. The moat had been drained earlier this year to allow crews easier access while refreshing the castle’s color scheme and performing maintenance work. During this period, Disney also repainted the Tomorrowland entrance rockwork and completed other nearby refurbishment projects around the waterways. Although the moat is not yet completely full, it may take several more days before reaching its normal operating level. The return of water to the moat is a welcome sight for guests who have watched the project unfold over the past several months.
