Man Accused of Fake Bomb Threat Against Disney Pleads Guilty in Federal Court

A twenty-five-year-old man from Northern California is expected to plead guilty this week to federal charges involving a false bomb threat against The Walt Disney Company. Seth Daniel Stewart, who also used the alias Angel Cross, faces up to ten years in prison for providing false information about an explosive device. Prosecutors allege that after his attempts to acquire rights to Buffy the Vampire Slayer were rejected by Disney representatives, he launched a prolonged harassment campaign targeting a Disney attorney and other company employees. The harassment included sending threatening messages, posting personal information of Disney staff online, and leaving unwanted pizza deliveries at their homes. In one particularly alarming incident, Stewart contacted guest services while impersonating an employee to falsely report a planned bombing at Disney offices. This case adds to recent incidents where false bomb threats have disrupted operations at Walt Disney World resorts.
