Comcast NBCUniversal has launched a nationwide promotional campaign at its 700 retail locations to celebrate the upcoming release of Minions and Monsters. From mid-June through early July, these stores will feature an augmented reality experience called A Portal into Mayhem where visitors can interact with digital characters from the film. The promotion includes exclusive merchandise such as limited-edition pins and T-shirts available for purchase at participating locations. Xfinity members receive additional benefits including a five dollar Fandango Movie Cash offer and early access ticket purchasing options for the new release. Diamond tier members have an opportunity to win VIP screening tickets in several major cities across the country. The campaign also highlights Xfinity’s Same-Day WiFi service with Minions demonstrating how customers can quickly set up their home internet connection. This family-friendly initiative brings the beloved Illumination franchise directly into local communities before its theatrical debut on July 1.
