New Safety Signs Added To Tiana’s Bayou Adventure After Fall Incident

Disneyland has installed twelve new warning signs at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure following a serious incident in June where a thirteen-year-old guest climbed out of the ride vehicle and fell fifty feet. Fortunately, the young guest did not suffer any severe injuries from the fall down the steep drop. The newly placed signage throughout the queue line emphasizes that riders must remain seated at all times or face removal from the park. Some signs feature text while others utilize diagrams to clearly communicate safety rules to guests entering the attraction. One specific sign near the entrance notes that compliance documents for the ride can be viewed at City Hall in Town Square. Disney officials have not disclosed exactly how or why the guest fell out of the log flume vehicle during the previous month. The resort is taking these necessary steps to ensure such dangerous incidents do not happen again and to reinforce safety protocols. Guests are reminded that ignoring rules while riding attractions can lead to life-threatening consequences for everyone involved. It remains to be seen whether similar additional warnings will appear at other locations within the Disneyland Resort in the future. Visitors should pay close attention to all posted instructions before boarding any ride to ensure a safe experience for themselves and others.
