Orlando Airport Unveils Major Upgrades And New International Routes

Orlando International Airport is undergoing significant expansion and modernization efforts to accommodate growing passenger traffic. The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority recently highlighted completed projects from fiscal year 2026, including a new enclosed pedestrian bridge connecting the Train Station to Terminal C with moving walkways. Terminal C also opened a new wing serving Gates 250 through 254, which now houses Virgin Atlantic flights. Three new Family Zones have been installed across all terminals to provide dedicated play and relaxation spaces for children. The airport is implementing a phased Parking Guidance System through mid-2027 and planning two new garages that will add approximately 8,000 public parking spaces. International connectivity has improved with the launch of nonstop charter flights from ZIPAIR to Tokyo and new direct service from Iberia to Madrid.
