Pop Century Resort Completes Sign Refresh and Splash Pad Maintenance

Disney World frequently plans refurbishments at its resorts, including room updates, pool repairs, and dining renovations. Visitors can check the official Disney World webpage for their specific hotel to see if construction is scheduled during their stay. At Pop Century Resort, recent projects have included completing refurbishment on the iconic sign at Classic Hall, which received a new coat of paint and touch-ups to maintain its bright appearance. Another significant project involved routine maintenance on the splash pad located near the Hippy Dippy Pool, an area popular with young children who are not yet potty trained or cannot swim well. The resort is also scheduled to close the Disney Skyliner from January 24th through January 30th, 2027 for annual winter maintenance, with complimentary bus service available during that time. Additionally, Classic Hall underwent a major interior refurbishment that included updates to Everything Pop Shopping and Dining and new lobby theming, though this change was controversial due to the removal of old-school shadow boxes displaying memorabilia from various decades. Visitors planning trips should monitor official sources for any additional construction updates or closures at their chosen resort.
