Star Wars Day Brings Expanded Galaxy’s Edge Timeline and New Merchandise at Disneyland Resort

Disneyland celebrates Star Wars Day with significant updates to the Galaxy’s Edge land, including expanded timeline constraints that allow iconic characters like Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, and Darth Vader to appear in the park. Former Disney CEO Bob Iger visited to observe the changes and interact with guests enjoying the new character experiences. The land now features John Williams’ original musical score throughout, enhancing the immersive atmosphere that was previously lacking. New merchandise including themed popcorn buckets, lightsaber swizzle sticks, and a DJ R-3X mug are available for purchase at various locations within Galaxy’s Edge and other park areas. Construction updates reveal progress on new attractions like an Avengers-themed LEGO sculpture and the upcoming Porto’s Cuban sandwich shop. The beloved It’s a Small World attraction will celebrate its 60th anniversary on May 28th, honoring its history since opening in 1966. Disney continues to expand its partnership with Make-A-Wish through special events and charity initiatives throughout the resort.
