The Art of Disney and Wonderful World of Memories Reopened in Disney Springs Today

We’ve been chauffeuring you around with us on what’s shaped up to be an EPIC reopening day at Disney Springs!

The Art of Disney and Wonderful World of Memories Reopened in Disney Springs Today

Disney Springs Sign

That’s because several spots have just reopened today at Disney Springs Marketplace and West Side! Now we’ve just spotted some activity at another one of our favorite shops to spend a lot of time (and money) at!

The Art of Disney as well as the adjacent shop Wonderful World of Memories officially reopened today!

The Art of Disney

Since the two stores are joined, you must enter through The Art of Disney and exit through Wonderful World of Memories to visit either location!

Wonderful World of Memories

Not sure about you guys, but our bank accounts have taken quite the hit thanks to The Art of Disney. This is a one-stop-shop for signed limited edition prints and amazing artworks to add to our Disney gallery walls back home (yup — we might open our own museum someday with the collection we’ve amassed!).

Signs with important health and safety reminders are now located at each store…

There weren’t too many floor displays crowding the store today, but we did notice this rather enticing collection of BIG FIGS!

And we saw a Disney artist performing live sketches when we stopped by!

The Art of Disney on Demand was still available. This is a self-serve kiosk where you can scroll through virtual libraries of Disney art on a touchscreen to pick out the prints you’d like to buy!

Heading next door to Wonderful World of Memories, we saw they had plenty of Minnie ears and lots of hats onhand!

We were told by a Cast Member they can still do personalization of hats, but can’t embroider backpacks right now. Here’s a glimpse of all the Mickey Ears they had to choose from today!

Wonderful World of Memories

There were barely any guests shopping with us in the store today, but we were told the store can utilize the same virtual queue system the other Disney owned properties are using on busier days.

We’ve got a few more spots to hit before we finally throw in the towel, so sit tight while we scope out the rest of Disney Springs and see what other stores have reopened today!

Another Fan-Favorite Sweet Spot Reopened in Disney World TODAY!

Moments ago we reported Goofy’s Candy Company has just reopened in the Disney Springs Marketplace!

Candy Cauldron

But another spot to grab a Mickey Krispy Treat, Caramel Apple, or other sugary delight has just reopened on Disney Springs’ West Side! That’s right — Candy Cauldron is back, you guys! Let’s go check it out!

Candy Cauldron reopened to the public today and boy how we missed this place! Just like Goofy’s, the shop is operating with a limited capacity of only seven guests allowed in at a time, making this one very V.I.P. experience in Disney World!

Candy Cauldron

Don’t worry, though! If a lot of folks show up at once, Candy Cauldron can utilize the new virtual queue system meaning a Cast Member will take your name and number and text you when it’s your turn to gorge! Since there wasn’t a wait today, we walked right in and up to the bakery case where social distancing markers have now been placed.

Candy Cauldron

Candy Cauldron isn’t making anything fresh right now, but they’re filling their cases with freshly-baked goods that are being delivered to them each day. They still had a decent selection of yummy treats to choose from although there isn’t as much of a variety!

They’re also still selling their regular selection pre-packaged candies as well as their bulk candy offerings! Cotton candy, popcorn, cookies — you name it, they GOT IT!

And if you want to dig into your confections right away, Candy Cauldron also provides hand sanitizer for its guests!

Can You Still Trade at Pin Traders in Disney World? Find Out Here!

We’ve been walking all over Disney Springs today trying to hit as many of the newly reopened spots as possible!

Can You Still Trade at Pin Traders in Disney World? Find Out Here!

Pin Traders

So far, we’ve checked out Ever After Jewelry Co. & Accessories, Goofy’s Candy Company, as well as Dockside Margaritas (we even got a little thirsty on our journey and treated ourselves to a Watermelon Marg!)! But now we’re turning our attention to Pin Traders which has also just reopened in Disney Springs today!

Pin Traders is THE place for Disney pin collectors to see and be seen! We were interested to see that the shop had flung open its doors since closing last March!

Pin Traders

Like most locations, you’ll find a new hand sanitizer station located near the entrance.

Pin Traders

The multi-sided building Pin Traders is housed in normally has many ways in and out, but as of today, there’s only one entrance and exit. The rest are closed off to guests for the time being. A Cast Member also told us Pin Traders can activate a virtual queue system if needed for busier days as we’ve seen at the other Disney shops and World of Disney, but there was no wait to get in today!

Pin Traders

And while the place with chock-full of its normal vast array of hats, Minnie ears, Pop vinyls, and of course, PINS, we were able to confirm that pin trading is NOT happening at Pin Traders at this time. Hmm… this makes the shop’s name a bit of a misnomer — for now!

Pin Traders

This is interesting because according to Disney, “We will continue to offer Guests the opportunity to pin trade with Cast Members through the use of pin boards in select locations. Cast pin trading with lanyards will not be available at this time to maintain physical distancing.” So, we will make sure to keep checking back and we will inform you if and when Pin Traders starts trading again.

We’ll be back with our reporting of which other Disney Springs locations have reopened today, so stay tuned!

Will you be heading to Disney Springs now that Pin Traders is open? Let us know in the comments below!

Review! Is This Watermelon Margarita in Disney World As Refreshing As It Sounds?!

It’s been a busy day so far at Disney Springs! Not only have a few of our favorite Disney stores reopened today, but also one of our most-beloved bars!

Review! Is This Watermelon Margarita in Disney World As Refreshing As It Sounds?!

Dockside’s Menu

Just moments ago we told you guys Dockside Margaritas had reopened and since we’ve had a hankering for one of their signature drinks ever since they closed back in March, we promptly put in our order!

Today, we’ll be trying their Watermelon Margarita for $16! This isn’t a seasonal special, but rather a summer-themed drink that lives on the permanent menu right now. We have seen it come and go quite a few times, so we thought we’d give it a try! This boozy mixture consists of Patrón Silver Tequila, Gran Marnier, watermelon and lime juices, and sweet-and-sour mix!

You can also get either a salt or sugar rim. The Cast Member who mixed ours up recommended the salt since this marg tends to run a little sweet, so we went with her pick!

Watermelon Margarita

The drink is super refreshing and a little dangerous since we couldn’t really taste much of the tequila! It’s a hot day so a lot of our ice had melted before we got to take our first sip! We were happy we went with the Cast Members suggestion to get the salt rim since it added a nice level of contrast to the fruity drink.

Watermelon Margarita

The lime’s citrusy and sour flavors came through strong — although not strong enough to make our lips pucker! The hint of watermelon was much more subtle, adding just a little sweetness to each sip! Overall, we enjoyed this drink and we’d definitely pick up this one again on a hot day at Disney Springs since it’s basically summer in a glass!

Will you be trying the Watermelon Margarita on your next visit to Disney Springs? Let us know in the comments below!
