Universal Orlando is progressing on multiple major projects across its parks. The Fast and Furious Hollywood Drift coaster in Universal Studios Florida has reached key milestones including a 170-foot spike top-out and corkscrew installation. Demolition of Lost Continent in Islands of Adventure continues with Sinbad removed and Poseidon’s Fury building coming down, while Mythos restaurant is expected to close in early 2027. A new ticketed event called Nights at Epic Universe has been announced, offering exclusive after-hours ride access from 9pm to midnight with complimentary snacks and a souvenir cup starting at $179. Thunder Falls Terrace has permanently closed and will be transformed into a full service restaurant to replace Mythos. Construction has begun on Category 10, a three-story bar and country music venue scheduled for late 2027 opening. Jurassic Park River Adventure testing is underway with upgraded animatronics ahead of its November 19 reopening, and Halloween Horror Nights construction is ongoing.
