Walt Disney World is undergoing significant changes with new lands being developed, yet several areas remain vacant or underutilized for years. The Wonders of Life pavilion at EPCOT closed in 2007 after its popularity declined due to newer attractions and has remained empty since plans for a Play! Pavilion were paused. Similarly, the Tomorrowland show building has been vacant since Stitch’s Great Escape closed in 2018, following three different attractions over the decades. Millennium Village at EPCOT also sits largely unused most of the year despite its popularity during festivals, occupying potential expansion space. Animal Kingdom’s Asia land feels stagnant with attractions over twenty years old while surrounding areas transform. These abandoned or underused spaces may eventually be reimagined as part of ongoing park evolution, though specific plans remain uncertain.
