Walt Disney World is currently undergoing its most significant construction project in decades, with four new lands being developed across three of its theme parks. The latest announcements from Disney’s Horizons showcase at D23 reveal exciting developments including a dedicated Villains Land in Magic Kingdom featuring a Maleficent roller coaster and Mirror Realm dark ride. Monstropolis is under construction as the first land themed to Monsters Inc., with plans for a suspended coaster and dining experiences opening in 2027. Animal Kingdom will see Tropical Americas replacing DinoLand U.S.A., bringing an Encanto attraction, new Indiana Jones adventure, and family carousel.
