Alicia Silverstone Returns for New Clueless Series at Paramount Plus

Paramount Plus has ordered a six-episode limited series sequel to the 1995 film Clueless, with Alicia Silverstone returning to executive produce and reprise her role as Cher Horowitz. The project was originally dropped by Peacock earlier this year but has now moved to Paramount, the original studio behind the film. Set 30 years after the original story, the series follows Cher navigating motherhood while her daughter goes through high school, leaving her feeling clueless once again. The creative team includes Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage from The O.C. and Gossip Girl, along with original film writer-director Amy Heckerling as an executive producer. Production is scheduled to begin in Los Angeles in 2027, though it remains unclear if original cast members such as Paul Rudd will appear. This news has generated significant excitement among fans eager to see the Beverly Hills icon return to screens.
