Backstage Tour Reveals Hidden Magic Kingdom Secrets and History

Disney offers a comprehensive five-hour walking tour called Keys to the Kingdom that provides exclusive access to backstage areas and utilidoors at Magic Kingdom. Participants must be at least sixteen years old and should expect to walk for most of the duration, making it suitable primarily for dedicated Disney enthusiasts. The tour includes lunch with meal choices selected beforehand, typically served at Columbia Harbor House or Pecos Bill’s depending on the schedule. Guests ride two attractions without waiting in lines, either the Jungle Cruise or Haunted Mansion, while guides share historical insights and fun facts throughout the experience. Special highlights include viewing parade floats being prepared by actors and exploring costuming rooms within the utilidoors tunnels for an hour. The tour costs approximately one hundred fifty-three dollars per person with tax, though discounts may apply for annual pass holders or Disney Vacation Club members. Arriving early is recommended to avoid crowds, and participants are encouraged to disconnect from their phones to fully immerse themselves in the experience.
