Walt Disney World has officially completed the Cinderella Castle makeover project at Magic Kingdom, with the moat around the iconic structure now fully refilled. The extensive renovation involved draining the water to allow high-reach cranes and lifts to access and repaint the castle’s highest spires. Most of this work was conducted after hours to minimize disruption for park guests, resulting in a seamless transition that many visitors may not have even noticed during construction. The project included repairing rockwork at the base of the castle and demolishing twin rocket towers near Tomorrowland entrance before finalizing all exterior enhancements. While Disney has not issued an official completion statement, the absence of construction equipment and workers signals that the physical transformation is finished. The new color scheme features deep blues paired with radiant golds, creating a more regal appearance compared to the previous pink palette. This classic look has been praised by long-time visitors as superior to both the 2020 version and earlier iterations, representing the best state of Cinderella Castle in over a decade.
