Disney Animal Kingdom Early Entry Process Updated and Tested

Disney recently modified its Early Entry procedure at Animal Kingdom based on recent testing observations. The new system changed the timing from 7:30am instead of 8:30am with altered physical checkpoints throughout the park entrance area. Previously, guests with early access would tap near Guest Services before proceeding left toward specific attractions while others without this benefit followed separate routes. Now all ticket holders can enter through the main gates together regardless of whether they have special early access privileges or not. Two new verification points were established near Kilimanjaro Safaris where Cast Members check each party’s MagicBand or ticket before granting park entry privileges. The updated layout eliminates previous congestion issues that occurred along Discovery Island pathways where non-early entry guests often created traffic jams. Testing revealed that Flight of Passage became accessible just seven minutes before the official early entry window began operating normally. Visitors using this benefit experienced a reasonable six-minute wait before boarding their ride compared to waiting times during standard daily operations. This operational change aims to improve overall guest flow and reduce unnecessary delays in the park’s busiest areas during morning hours.
