Disney Animal Kingdom Welcomes Second Ankole Calf Named Raisin

Disney’s Animal Kingdom has officially welcomed its second Ankole cattle calf of the year, a sweet new addition named Raisin. While animal care teams have kept details regarding the newborn’s birth under wraps, little Raisin is currently spending quality time with her mother backstage. The new arrival follows an exciting milestone earlier this spring when Disney’s Animal Kingdom welcomed its first Ankole calf in over 20 years. That previous calf was named Cinnamon and made her official public debut out on the Kilimanjaro Safaris savanna back in June. Disney has not yet announced an official debut date for Raisin to join the rest of the herd on the Kilimanjaro Safaris savanna. For now, the young calf is resting and bonding with mom behind the scenes.
