Disney Announces Coronado Springs Refurbishment Spanning Over A Year

Disney has confirmed an extensive renovation project for its Coronado Springs Resort that will extend from early August until late September 2027. The scope of work primarily targets the Convention Center facility along with the nearby El Centro Corridor. Construction activities are scheduled to occur mainly during nighttime hours to reduce disruption for hotel guests and event attendees. Rather than closing the entire property at once, the renovation will proceed in multiple phases allowing partial access throughout the duration. Several key spaces including the Coronado Ballroom, Fiesta Ballroom, and Veracruz Exhibition Hall remain part of this comprehensive update. Some convention and event functions will continue to operate normally even as various sections undergo temporary closures. Visitors planning stays at this resort should be prepared for intermittent accessibility issues and potential construction noise during operating hours. This long-term improvement aims to enhance facilities while maintaining overall operational continuity for both leisure travelers and business clients.
