Disney has started work on the World Celebration reflecting pool at EPCOT by draining all the water from the basin. The iconic river rocks have been removed and stacked in designated areas while crews prepare for further maintenance steps. This body of water sits between the Imagination and Land pavilions near CommuniCore Plaza, with its concrete floor now fully exposed to guests. A small scaffolding staircase has been installed to help workers access the dry basin safely. Rolling planters have been placed as a boundary to prevent guests from entering the construction zone. Disney periodically collects coins tossed into fountains like this one for charitable donations to organizations such as Make-A-Wish and Give Kids The World Village. In 2022, coins from similar locations generated over $30,000 in donations, suggesting another substantial contribution is imminent once refurbishment concludes.
