Guests arriving at Disney’s Contemporary Resort may notice new steel beams and scaffolding outside the property. The construction project focuses on refurbishing the exterior of this iconic A-frame resort hotel. Temporary barriers have been installed around work zones, preventing guests from accessing certain balcony areas. Several rooms are currently unavailable while crews repaint support poles and refresh portions of the building’s exterior. This extensive renovation began in September 2024 with completion originally expected by 2025, but Disney has now extended the timeline through the end of 2027. Despite ongoing construction activity, the resort remains fully operational with most guest areas, dining locations, and amenities continuing to welcome visitors normally.
