Bloggers who previously posed brown bowls of EPCOT festival food on trash cans around World Showcase now face a new challenge as more solar-powered bins appear. The solar panels that keep these receptacles running are located on the top portion of the bins, which bloggers used to cover with their food photography props. When visitors step on the silver pedal with the footprint at the bottom, flaps marked for trash or recycle open for a hands-free disposal experience. Covering the solar panels on top of the bin while taking photos would block sunlight and render these bins useless. Disney is likely planning to add many new tables ahead of Food and Wine festival in August, which explains the increased number of solar-powered bins throughout the park.
