Disney Reputation Drops to 79th Place in Annual Corporate Survey

The Walt Disney Company has experienced a significant decline in its corporate reputation ranking according to the 2026 Axios Harris Poll. While the entertainment giant has maintained its diverse business portfolio for over a century, its standing has fallen to 79th place among surveyed companies. Chewy claimed the top spot as the most trusted company, followed by Toyota, Samsung, Nvidia, and Costco in the top five. Disney’s drop from 76th to 79th place occurred despite continued profitability, with factors like rising theme park costs and public controversies cited as contributing elements. New CEO Josh D’Amaro has announced ambitious plans including park expansions and cruise line additions to potentially improve public perception. The company faces challenges in maintaining its reputation while navigating changing consumer expectations and market conditions. Future performance will depend on whether these strategic initiatives can successfully address public concerns about the corporation.
