Disney Signs 15-Year Agreement Securing Access to Alaska’s Icy Strait Port Through 2041

Disney Cruise Line has secured a long-term partnership with the Huna Totem Corporation guaranteeing docking privileges at Icy Strait Point until 2041. This fifteen-year deal ensures weekly access for one vessel during the Alaska cruising season while maintaining passenger commitments. The agreement solidifies Icy Strait Point as a key destination offering indigenous culture and wildlife viewing opportunities. Disney plans to continue offering seven-night Alaska voyages aboard the Disney Magic and Wonder ships through this arrangement. Local stakeholders welcome the extended partnership which supports jobs and community programs in Hoonah. Travelers should verify specific itinerary details when planning their voyage since not all sailings will include the port stop. The Indigenous-owned facility serves as a major employer and cultural hub for over 1,850 Alaska Native shareholders. Beyond tourism benefits, Disney continues investing in regional food security and environmental stewardship initiatives.
