Disney Springs Enforces New Transportation Verification Rules for Resort Guests

Walt Disney World is implementing permanent verification procedures at Disney Springs starting June 28 to regulate transportation access. This policy aims to stop guests from using free parking and resort buses as a loophole to avoid standard parking fees. The new rules require proof of a legitimate reason, such as a hotel reservation or confirmed dining booking, before boarding specific buses or boats. These changes apply to watercraft and bus services heading toward four specific Disney resorts including Port Orleans and Saratoga Springs. During trial runs earlier this year, the verification process proved effective at reducing overcrowding on transportation routes. Disney continues to evaluate whether similar measures might expand to other locations within Walt Disney World in the future.
