Walt Disney World has unveiled new concept art and details for Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, a new waterfront resort set to open in Summer 2027. The design celebrates nature through inspiration from classic animated films like Pocahontas and Bambi, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that connect indoor spaces with the surrounding Bay Lake environment. The resort will offer 967 themed accommodations including studios, multi-bedroom villas, and standalone lake houses positioned along the waterfront. Three distinctive dining experiences are planned: Bay Lake Provisions for quick-service meals, Moonglade for table-service dining with water views, and Paint Out Point Bar & Grill near the lagoon. Guests will also have access to Dandelion Terrace, an upper-level fireworks viewing area featuring Disney archival artwork and whimsical lighting. The announcement marks a name change from Disney Lakeshore Lodge to include the possessive apostrophe, reflecting a more polished branding approach. While some details remain under wraps, particularly regarding treehouse villas, the overall design aims for a tasteful, upscale experience that avoids overt thematic elements in favor of subtle nods to nature and animation.
