At the D23 2026 convention, Disney revealed a large-scale model of the new Piston Peak land for Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. This Cars-themed area will be the second full-scale attraction based on the franchise, following Cars Land which opened in 2012 at Disney California Adventure. Construction is underway in the former Rivers of America section of Magic Kingdom. The land will feature an off-road racing ride where guests encounter characters like Mater and Lightning McQueen while navigating geysers and themed scenery. The new attraction will be located near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Frontierland structures including Country Bear Jamboree. A name for the upcoming off-road ride has not yet been announced by Disney officials. This exciting development marks a significant expansion of the Cars franchise presence within Disney parks.
