Disney has officially confirmed the development of Villains Land at Magic Kingdom, a project that has been anticipated by fans since the 1990s. The new land, located beyond Big Thunder, will feature two major attractions alongside dining and shopping experiences on a grand scale. Unlike previous themed areas based on single franchises, Villains Land will draw antagonists from nearly 90 years of Disney films with diverse art styles. The Imagineering team has named the architectural style “Conjured Architecture,” blending organic animated villain aesthetics with Art Nouveau construction. Legendary animator Andreas Deja will consult on the project, potentially influencing how character elements are integrated into the land’s design. Fans hope to see both iconic villains and deep-cut characters represented through statues and immersive details throughout the area. The project is expected to include heavily themed food and drink offerings, continuing the trend of immersive culinary experiences seen in other Disney lands. Further details about the attractions and theming are anticipated at the upcoming D23 Ultimate Fan Expo this summer.
