Disney World Attractions Closing and New Lands Opening This Summer Season

Disney World has been experiencing a busy week with numerous new attractions opening across its parks. Rock n Roller Coaster starring The Muppets, Blueys Wild World, Jessie’s Roundup, Soarin Across America, and The Walt Disney Studios have all officially opened for guests to enjoy. However, visitors should be aware that many other attractions remain closed throughout the resort during this period. Several iconic areas like Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island are permanently closing to make way for the new Cars themed Piston Peak National Park area at Magic Kingdom. EPCOT is also seeing significant changes with DinoLand USA closing for the new Tropical Americas land featuring Pueblo Esperanza, a carousel, Indiana Jones ride, and an Encanto attraction. Multiple restaurants and entertainment venues across different parks are undergoing refurbishments or permanent closures while new dining options like La Poutinerie are being developed. Resort hotels including Polynesian Village, Pop Century, Bay Lake Tower, Yacht Club, Beach Club, and BoardWalk locations are all experiencing various levels of construction and maintenance work affecting guest experiences.
