Disney World Coronado Springs Undergos Major Refurbishment

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is set to close its Convention Center from August 2026 through September 2027 for a significant renovation project. The El Centro Corridor will also be refurbished during this multi-year closure, with construction occurring primarily overnight to reduce disruption. Individual spaces within the facility will experience temporary closures as work progresses in several distinct stages. Guests planning visits should note potential noise and construction activity throughout the resort grounds during this period. Beyond the renovations, Coronado Springs continues to offer exceptional amenities including a pool featuring a dramatic waterslide and a fifty-foot Mayan pyramid structure. The resort boasts diverse dining venues such as Dahlia Lounge offering serene views, Rix Sports Bar serving signature chicken and waffles, and Toledo providing exquisite rooftop tapas with Spanish influences. These culinary experiences allow visitors to sample multiple small plates shared across their tables while enjoying panoramic vistas. The renovation aims to enhance future conventions and events at this beloved Walt Disney World destination.
