Disney World Implements Cooling Measures Amid Extreme Heat Warning

Walt Disney World is currently experiencing dangerously high temperatures with unsafe UV levels and intense humidity making 84 degrees feel like 91. The resort has recently installed industrial Vector cooling towers at various locations including the courtyard for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster with The Muppets at Hollywood Studios. These weatherproof air conditioners are designed to direct airflow, vapor, or mist to help reduce the ambient heat in outdoor areas. Additionally, characters and musicians have been relocated from central Animation Courtyard locations to strictly shaded areas on Saturday. Visitors planning a trip in the coming months are advised to utilize Early Entry rope drops and retreat to their resorts during peak afternoon hours when temperatures are highest. Those who must remain in the parks throughout midday should focus on indoor attractions that provide air conditioning for relief from the oppressive heat. Practical tips for staying cool include packing cooling towels, plastic bags with ice, and rechargeable or misting fans for personal use.
