Disney World Implements New Resort Transportation and Room Rules This Year

Disney World is introducing several significant changes to its resort policies this year, affecting guest experiences across the property. Starting June 28th, transportation from Disney Springs will be restricted exclusively to resort guests with valid dining or experience reservations, eliminating free parking and spontaneous resort hopping for non-guests. Additionally, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has discontinued its popular giant gingerbread house display during the holiday season, though smaller displays remain at other resorts like Contemporary and BoardWalk. Moderate resorts including Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs are simplifying room categories to Standard Room, Preferred Room, or King Bedroom for easier booking clarity. These updates aim to streamline guest experiences while maintaining access to key amenities through preferred room options closer to transportation and dining areas.
