Disneyland Attractions Temporarily Close for Maintenance in Fantasyland Frontierland

Guests visiting Disneyland Park should be aware of two temporary closures affecting classic attractions. The historic King Arthur Carrousel in Fantasyland and the Frontierland Shootin Exposition have both closed their gates for scheduled refurbishments. Construction walls with themed decorations now surround these beloved rides, blocking guest access to the entrances and exits. The carrousel is expected to reopen on July 17, 2026 according to Disneyland’s operating calendar. Meanwhile, no official reopening date has been announced for the shooting gallery attraction in Frontierland. Disney confirms this is a temporary closure for standard maintenance rather than a permanent shutdown. Visitors can still photograph the Sword in the Stone monument while waiting for the carrousel to return. Both attractions are considered original opening-day landmarks with significant historical value to the park.
