Disneyland Railroad Dinosaur Diorama Replaced with Cardboard Cutouts During Refurbishment Work

The historic Disneyland Railroad offers guests a unique journey through the park, featuring iconic attractions and special experiences. One notable stop along the route is the Primeval World diorama, which originally showcased audio-animatronic dinosaurs inspired by Fantasia and built for the 1964 New York World’s Fair. This immersive scene was added to Disneyland in 1966 and provided a thrilling prehistoric habitat experience for visitors. However, the detailed diorama has been temporarily removed and replaced with simple cardboard cutouts of dinosaurs and other animals. The park is currently undergoing much-deserved maintenance and refurbishment on the railroad system. While guests cannot enjoy the original animatronic display during this period, officials expect improvements to the overall ride experience. Park enthusiasts are advised to monitor updates regarding when the full diorama will return to its former glory.
