Disneyland Resort is introducing several significant policy changes for the 2026 season that will affect guest experiences across its parks. The resort has expanded facial recognition technology at entrance gates to speed up entry while allowing guests to opt out if they prefer. Stricter cellphone restrictions now apply on select attractions, requiring phones and recording devices to remain secured during rides for safety reasons. Park hopping rules have been relaxed, eliminating the previous 11 AM restriction and giving visitors more flexibility in moving between parks. Pin trading guidelines have become stricter with no dedicated trading areas permitted and smaller pin bags required for display. On-property hotel guests will no longer receive Early Entry access but will instead get a complimentary Lightning Lane pass per person during their stay. These updates aim to improve safety, streamline operations, and enhance the overall guest experience while maintaining the resort’s iconic atmosphere.
