Disneyland Resort Parking Structure Construction Underway with Manchester Lot Closure

Construction on Disneyland Resort’s new parking structure is accelerating, with the Manchester Cast Member lot scheduled to close by late June. Workers United Local 50, representing many Disneyland employees, confirmed the closure date of June 28 and directed staff to alternative commuting resources. Following this shutdown, displaced Cast Members will have access to several alternative parking locations identified by the union. This development stems from two construction permits filed in December 2025 for a massive 3.2 million-square-foot east parking structure as part of the DisneylandForward expansion initiative. The project mirrors Disney’s original 2016 Eastern Gateway plan and will feature a pedestrian bridge over Harbor Boulevard creating an elevated main entrance. Once finished, the facility will accommodate 6,000 vehicles with dedicated drop-off areas for ride-sharing services and shuttles. The new structure will include security screening and a direct entrance off Disney Way to improve traffic flow.
