Family Sues Disney Cruise Line After Child Falls from Bunk Bed

A family has filed a lawsuit against Disney Cruise Line after their child suffered severe injuries from falling out of an upper bunk bed on the Disney Wonder. The incident took place during an Alaska sailing, where the family was staying in a Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom. According to the complaint, the child rolled over while asleep around 1:00 a.m. and fell from the upper berth, fracturing both wrists. One of the fractures involved a growth plate, raising concerns about long-term developmental complications. The lawsuit alleges that the guardrail on the bunk bed was insufficient, leaving a dangerous gap, and that Disney failed to warn guests or rectify the hazard. The family is seeking more than $50,000 in damages for medical costs, pain, and potential permanent injury, and has requested a jury trial.
