Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop has temporarily moved to a new location in the Town Center area of Disney Springs while its original site undergoes extensive renovations. The former Sprinkles Cupcakes space, which previously hosted a Black Tap pop-up, now serves as Ghirardelli’s temporary home until spring 2027 when it is expected to reopen at the original location. The refurbishment project promises increased guest seating, more efficient checkout processes, and several exciting surprises that have not yet been revealed by the company. Construction walls surround the original site with a map directing visitors to the temporary location where guests can still enjoy their favorite chocolate treats. While fans appreciate being able to continue enjoying Ghirardelli’s famous squares, ice cream sundaes, and milkshakes at the new spot, they acknowledge it does not quite replicate the original experience. The official reopening date for the original location remains unannounced as construction progresses toward completing the planned improvements.
