Impressionist Creates Act I ‘Hamilton: A Muppet Musical’ Parody

Impressionist Creates Act I ‘Hamilton: A Muppet Musical’ Parody. Comedian and impressionist, Ricky Downes III, became inspired to create a Muppets parody of Hamilton after watching the famed musical after its debut on Disney+ at the beginning of July.

Less than 4 days after the films launch on Disney+, Ricky shared his creation via YouTube and Twitter along with the caption: “Hey [Lin-Manuel Miranda] and [Kermit the Frog], I was so inspired by [Hamilton] on Disney+ I recorded Act 1 as all of The Muppets. You BOTH are truly the most sensational, inspirational, celebration, Muppetational AND non-stop!”

Ricky assigned his own character roles along with the roles within the musical and the cast list includes:

  • Alexander Hamilton – Kermit the Frog
  • Aaron Burr – The Great Gonzo
  • Eliza Schuyler – Miss Piggy
  • Marquis de LaFozette – Fozzie Bear
  • George Washington – Sam the Eagle
  • Angelica Schuyler – Camilla the Chicken
  • John Laurens – Beaker
  • Hercules Mulligan – Rowlf the Dog
  • King George III – Animal
  • Peggy Schuyler – Janice
  • Samuel Seabury – The Swedish Chef
  • Charles Lee – Elmo
  • Congressional Delegates – Floyd and Zoot
