In Case You Missed It: News and Rumors – Week of June 5, 2020

Look, if you’ve followed along with me over any span of time that I’ve been writing here at TouringPlans or as a member of the Disney community, you know I’m a pretty happy and bubbly (sometimes too much so for some) person. For this week’s introduction, I have typed out/deleted a number of things that I could say about Black Lives Matter. This week has been a tough one for all of us. Plain and simple. Nothing I can say can showcase the way I’m personally feeling. Just know that I am listening, I hear you, I am working at doing a better job of understanding, and I support you.

This week, the NBA is officially coming to Walt Disney World, there’s another live action movie that could be coming based off of an animated film, and more.

In Case You Missed It – Disney and Universal Orlando News and Rumors

I want to re-post this, in case you missed it. This is from our very own founder, Len Testa about Black Lives Matter and the protests that have occurred and I think that if you haven’t read it yet, you should.

In addition, the Walt Disney Company also made a statement about the killing of George Floyd.

Walt Disney World will be bringing back thousands of furloughed workers in the next few weeks!

The NBA has invited 22 teams to the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex. The season will start on July 31.

Looks like The Pearl Factory will be leaving Disney Springs. Did you shop here?

Could we be getting a live action version of The Black Cauldron?

Universal could be doing a Wolfman film with Ryan Gosling as the lead.

In Case We Missed It

What did we miss? Attach your ideas to these ridiculous Mickey Mouse Glove Corn on the Cob Holders and send it to with the words “In Case You Missed It” in the subject line.
