Disney is transforming Magic Kingdom by introducing a brand new Cars Land that will replace the Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Liberty Belle Riverboat. The expansion features two exciting attractions set in Piston Peak National Park where guests can race through mountain trails while dodging geysers and splashing through mud holes. Ride vehicles will include at least three cars with detailed headlight eyes and mouths that mimic characters from the Cars movies. Concept art shows muddy cars entering dark caves, though Disney has not yet confirmed if the ride remains a race-style attraction as originally announced. The second attraction is designed for smaller racers but lacks specific details at this time. Construction on the new land is expected to begin in 2025 after testing on a track in Orlando. This major expansion also coincides with the upcoming Villains Land behind Big Thunder Mountain, bringing more excitement to the park.
