New Bag Check Area under construction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

New Bag Check Area under construction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Bag check

In a few weeks, we’ll finally see the grand reopening of Disney’s theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort. The Orlando area vacation destination closed their doors in mid-March due to the pandemic. Both Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom open to the public on July 11th, 2020. Based upon new aerial photographs, it’s looking as if guests can expect to see a new security bag check at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

If you look at the photos below, then you’ll find a new tram drop-off area for the entrance. The previous security bag check area has been demolished and the entrance will look brand new for visitors in July.

We were previously aware of other construction projects at Walt Disney World. The construction of the Tron Lightcycle attraction and magical makeover of Cinderella Castle are two current projects at Magic Kingdom. While this new security construction might seem less interesting compared to attractions, we’re sure the new bag check will improve the experience for Disney guests.

Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom reopen on July 11th. Then Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will reopen on July 15, 2020. We will provide coverage when the Disney Parks reopen next month and show the new entrance at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Will any of our fans plan a Disney trip when the theme parks reopen? Let us know in the comments!
