Walt Disney World is unveiling a new Magic of Disney Animation building at Hollywood Studios, set to open in late summer 2026. The renovated courtyard now features grass, trees, and shade structures that have transformed the previously empty space into a popular guest destination. Free-roaming characters like Mulan, Rapunzel, and Olaf are currently interacting with visitors in the courtyard until the new building opens. Inside, guests will explore interactive areas including Drawn to Wonderland playground inspired by Alice in Wonderland and Off the Page meeting spaces. The Olaf Draws! experience allows guests to learn drawing techniques from animated characters and legendary animators. While the indoor playground and character interactions are praised, some note the loss of live animators in the Olaf experience. The new building replaces the former Star Wars Launch Bay, marking a significant transformation of the Walt Disney Studios Lot.
