Disney World welcomed a brand new land at Hollywood Studios on May 26th, 2026, replacing the former Animation Courtyard and Star Wars Launch Bay. The vibrant space features an open courtyard with trees, creating a relaxing environment for guests to enjoy. Visitors can admire handprints dedicated to popular Disney characters etched into the cement throughout the area. Small animal figures scattered around provide additional photo opportunities for families and fans alike. Several beloved characters, including Donald Duck and Mulan, were spotted roaming the grounds during the opening celebration. The land will soon host The Magic of Disney Animation attraction, featuring an indoor playground based on Mary Blair’s Alice in Wonderland concept art. Guests can also participate in Olaf Draws, an interactive experience where animators teach visitors how to sketch their favorite characters. The new area promises to be a highlight for animation enthusiasts and Disney fans visiting the resort.
