The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens reports positive developments for nine rescued sloths currently in quarantine care. Animal care teams and veterinarians have been providing around-the-clock support since the animals arrived thirty days ago. Two sloths named Chewie and Dolce have been moved out of intensive care, marking significant progress in their recovery journey. The remaining seven sloths continue to receive specialized monitoring and tailored diets while under close observation. Zoo officials note that the sloths’ personalities are beginning to emerge, suggesting an improving outlook for these rescued animals. The facility has shared new photographs of all nine sloths, including Dolce, Chewie, Leeloo, Hazel, Willow, Mojo Jojo, Blackberry, Phantom, and Pearl. This update represents the most optimistic news yet for the sloths that have been under the zoo’s care since earlier this spring.
