Orlando International Airport and Orlando Executive Airport are launching a patriotic celebration to honor the 250th anniversary of the United States. The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority is transforming both airports with red, white, and blue decorations throughout 2026. A major event will be the Liberty Weekend Concert on June 27 featuring the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and other performances. Travelers can expect patriotic landscaping, special lighting displays, and themed exhibits highlighting aviation history. The celebration also includes interactive photo opportunities and messages from local officials. Even therapy dogs will participate with special America250-themed bandanas. This initiative highlights the airports’ unique histories as former military bases while celebrating their role in connecting communities across America.
